Message months out at the moment.

The current design uses a rad core that is dissimilar in size to the OEM unit, so the OEM fan shroud wont fit it. I dont have any intentions of producing one for an OEM fan setup.

FWIW: We are continuing development with the electric fan setup and have been testing several ideas.

We've collected data on cooling efficiencies of the OEM setup and have a couple different electric fan units on their way which will be here this week. Bypass duct/ports have been produced for the bypass-ducted fiberglass shroud we will be testing this week and modification to the ECU code has been done to switch the auxiliary fan on at a lower temperature for testing before/after results - this will be used to trigger the primary cooling fan relay as well so the use of a thermatic controller is no longer necessary. We'll be experimenting with all of these new items/features this week. As it stands, we are only about 10F warmer than the OEM setup and only pulling 12A. We have a new fan on the way which flows considerably more and adding the aux fan and the bypass ducts I think that we will be able to at least do as good as the OE mechanical fan setup.

So far in my personal Z with this double-pass design radiator, the electric fan setup has worked very well even in extreme driving conditions. I've tried a new electric fan that pulls around 17A and coolant temps have dropped by ~8 degrees. The new fans coming this week are rated at even higher airflow rates. However, given that my setup has other alterations to the cooling system (hi-flow, thermatically controlled electric water pump and the elimination of the restrictive OEM thermostat), I know that it isn't the best testbed to make conclusions with, which is why we are doing all of our testing on a stage ~8 twinturbo here in FL where ambient temps have been 95-100F.

I will be compiling the data once all of our testing has been done so that it can be reviewed by the community.

If you are interested in this radiator setup, feel free to email me: I will add you to my mailing list and let you know as soon as it is available.
